Our new Polarization Control Box, FPC-8CH, is an 18 1/2" rack mountable unit consisting of eight separate manual polarization controllers. Individual 3-stage rotary knobs provide independent control for any desired state-of-polarization. This modular structure is suitable of DWDM applications and enables quick and easy transport of large numbers of polarization controllers between laboratories.
The FPC-8CH utilizes stress-induced birefringence to alter and control the state-of-polarization of light in single-mode fibers. Complete coverage of the Poincaré sphere and polarization control is provided by rotating the knobs.
